This program is designed for the player who is either new to hockey or has little hockey experience - 1 to 2 years or less. The program is designed to develop his/her overall skills. This program has been very popular with our younger participants (5 to 8 years). It is designed and delivered by qualified adult instructors trained to work with this age group.
- 2 hours of daily on-ice training.
- Emphasis is on skill acquisition and improvement. All basic hockey skills will be covered with particular emphasis on balance and control
- Off-ice sessions deal with age appropriate activities that emphasize fun and whole body development. Activities such as field hockey, lacrosse, etc. will be played to highlight team concepts
- Class sessions will round out off-ice activities and will focus on such topics as how to get dressed, how to tie skates, etc.
- Program operates between 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- Teaching ratio 1:6 (ratio may vary slightly on a per ice session basis)
